What About Dyslexia In Adulthood
I am hoping you will find my story to be helpful for you. There were two aspects that completely helped me through my academic experience.
When I got into high school math, I had trouble writing numbers in a format where I would remember which number was in which line making it increasingly difficult for me to find the correct answer to the problem. Yes, dyslexia has its share of problems, but it can also have an interesting way of giving an individual a different perspective on how to look at a given problem.

There are also many positive aspects of dyslexia and we will explore these aspects in this article. Of course, my dyslexia reared its ugly head again making me flip verbs and pronouns when speaking or writing, and flip flopping important dates and times. If you were never this lucky, this article is for you because I believe I am a dyslexic and never had the opportunity to meet a caring teacher who was dedicated to helping me learn.
PUBLIC SPEAKING
What I have found is the simple task of thinking carefully about what I am about to say will help me compile my words together getting the right pronoun or verb tense in my mind before I start to speak. Take a second or two to do this. You will probably find this to be a simple yet very effective tool in combating the flip flopping aspect of the dyslexic mind.
VERB AGREEMENTS
The first is what was discussed in the last section - slow down when you are speaking so you can compile your thoughts and construct a good sentence that will convey your message to another person. So, this previous sentence is an example of a "dyslexic" moment, and unfortunately, a great example of how you would demonstrate to the person you are speaking with that you do not understand verb agreement.
This can be quite embarrassing in front of an employer or someone you are trying to impress with your knowledge or excellent vocabulary skills.
WRITING
You may find that writing is easier for you to do as a dyslexic. E-mail is an advantage to the dyslexic and incorporating it into your daily routine or how you deal with others will help you minimize the flip-flopping mistakes. E-mail can also be the easiest way for you to communicate.
TAKING STANDARDIZED TESTS
As a student, I found that standardized tests could be "fatal" to my academic career. If you find that standardized tests in any form, (whether its for work or school), is difficult for you, before you take another exam, make sure you analyze prior tests you have taken. 21. For example:
